Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn – Book Review

Co-Wrecker, an all new sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy is coming March 23rd!

Co-Wrecker by Meghan Quinn
Publication Date: March 23, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

What do ice cream and Sadie Montgomery have in common? They’re both ice cold, but one taste is never enough.

I wanted to be friends — I would have even settled for her seeing me as anything but a nerd — but there was no getting through. So just like any hard-headed, red-blooded man out there, I made up my mind.

I’d make my coworker fall for me.

I’d like to say it was simple, but like every other epic love story, all it took was one drunken night and a lot of naked courage to get the girl. For a moment, at least.

Love with a coworker is never simple, especially since Sadie’s trying to keep us on the low. Not to mention her persistent ex-boyfriend who won’t leave her alone. But I’ve never been good at giving up, and I don’t plan to start now.

The whole thing is a recipe for a rocky road, but I plan to eat the whole gallon, no matter how bad the brain freeze.

Mr. Popular By Nicole London – Book Review + GIVEAWAY

Rule #1: Do not vote for Mr. Popular.
Rule #2: Do not talk to Mr. Popular.
Rule #3: (Most importantly, and above all) Do not fall for Mr. Popular…
Liam ‘Mr. Popular’ Carter will always be the closest thing to the “walking plague” in my eyes. His cockiness seeps through his every move, and no matter how many state championships he wins with the basketball team, he will forever be a “loss” to me.
Because he’s my older brother’s best friend, I’m forced to tolerate him, and he’s forced to tolerate me. In fact, unless my brother is around, we happily ignore each other every chance we get.
It wasn’t always this way, though…
Several summers ago, we both attended the same summer camp. A place we returned to year after year. We became friends–close friends, but right when I thought he could possibly turn into my everything, he made it clear that what we had was nothing.
Now that’s he’s a senior, and I only have to deal with him for one more year, I’ve vowed to keep repeating the same set of rules to myself. Especially since he seems so hell-bent on wanting to talk to me for some reason, and especially since he seems to be staring at me every time we’re in the same room together…
Rule #4: Always follow rules #1-3…
Rule #5: (OMG what the hell are you doing?) Do not KISS Mr. Popular…

Pucked Off By Helena Hunting – Book Review + GIVEAWAY

Pucked Off, an all-new emotional and sexy STANDALONE from Helena Hunting is LIVE!!

Pucked Off by Helena Hunting

businessman working on laptop in black suit

***A Standalone novel in The Pucked Series***

I’m NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance “Romance.”

I’m notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I’m a player on and off the ice. I’m the one women with no inhibitions want.

Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don’t know how to be any other way.

I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she’s the kind of bad I deserve.

At least that’s what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She’s all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark.

I shouldn’t want her.

But I do.

I should leave her alone.

But I won’t.

Armed with my clipboard, I walk down the hall to the waiting room. Lance is impossible to miss. Despite the fact that he’s wearing a sweatshirt and the hood is covering half of his face, he’s more than six feet of broad, hockey-playing man.

He’s so wide his shoulders encroach on the chairs on either side, which would explain why no one is sitting next to him. He’s slouched down so his head rests on the back of the chair, and his hands are clasped in his lap, a baseball cap hanging off one knee. His lips, plush and soft—I know since I’ve had them on mine; it might have been a decade ago, but I remember it clearly—are parted. He looks like he’s asleep.

I clear my throat. “Lance Romero?”

He doesn’t move.

Bernadette, the receptionist, gives me a meaningful look.

I clear my throat again and call his name a second time. He jolts awake and the hood falls back, exposing his face. It’s not in good shape. He has a black eye and bruises on his left cheek. There’s a fly bandage across one eyebrow.

Sadly, he’s still hot.

He blinks a few times, yawns, and smacks his lips, his tongue touching the split in the bottom one. His gaze sweeps the room and finally lands on me. Heat explodes in my cheeks and courses through my limbs, warming me from the inside out as he starts at my sneaker-clad feet and roams up over my yoga pants to my company-issued T-shirt before stopping at my face. I can’t look directly at him for more than a couple of seconds. I sincerely hope he doesn’t remember me. I cannot go there and also be professional.

I’m sure the smile he gives me has melted many a panty off a slutty bunny. Mine stay right where they’re supposed to, wedged up my ass.

I force a polite, professional veneer. “I’m ready for you now.”

Lucas {Preston Brothers #1} by Jay McLean – Book Review

Lucas (Preston Brothers, #1)Lucas by Jay McLean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
➳Cries, laughter, hatred, and angst… All the feelings and actions Jay McLean makes you feel when you read Lucas’ and Laney’s story…

➳After reading the synopsis you are instantly swoon over if you are a huge fan of Jay’s or simply like dramatic, love at first sight type of stories. Jay found a way to mix those two together and bring an excitement out of me with tears and heartbreak. Lois, also known as Laney is new to town when she meets her dad’s boss and the rest of the Preston family. She is instantly drawn to Lucas, the oldest brother of all five Preston boys (Lucy being the oldest… remember her from More Than Enough?)

The Player by Claire Contreras – Book Review

The PlayerThe Player by Claire Contreras

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

➳WOAH! What a freaking book which brings the definition of unique to a whole new level. Claire Contreras sure knows how to hook you in with the love of a sport… Get your copy just in time for the release TOMORROW!

➳So lets take a moment to appreciate the male protagonist’s name; Warren. Warren… also known as War and in the field known as War Zone because of the way he plays with full force in the soccer field. His career has made him into a true professional ever since he was fourteen and moved to Spain to grow his experience as a soccer player, which in the story he is known worldwide. Warren has to make an unexpected visit to New York for some investment issues that he had done in the past and has to deal with. During his visit, that’s when he sees Camila…

➳Camila has a past. She went from being wealthy to a life thats opposite to what Warren has. Her origin of being Dominican is something that sparks in this story. When Camila and Warren “first” meet, she rejects him so hard it’s kind of funny. But when she finally opens up to him, she is confused on her fast feelings being evolved;

➳”I don’t want to want you this much,” I whispered when our lips broke apart.
His eyes searched mine, his gaze softening. “But you do.”
“But I do.”
“And you can’t will the feeling away.”
I shook my head, looking at him…
“Neither can I,” he said, placing his forehead against mine. “Neither can I.”

➳Even though Camila came from a family of somewhat having wealth, her relationship with Warren becomes an issue to her because of his wealth. She always feels like he is someone else when he isn’t with her, and Warren definitely sees that. Something that caught my eye throughout the story, is the personal life little things Claire adds, like; Captain America and Warren’s nephew loving it as much as Camila does. Me being a total comic-book obsessed freak, I understand the love and I appreciate how Claire adds the proper amount of comic information to make me geek out hahaha!

➳The steamy scenes… Well, well… cough cough lets just say that Warren sure as heck knows how to use his hands, which is ironic because as a soccer player your hands are restricted from usage hahahaha, and Camila knows how to comply as well 😉

➳Something that is brought upon Warren’s bachelor ways is the fact that he had a girl for every state; “Texas girl, California girl, that Chicago girl” etc. But to Warren’s eyes;

➳”She wasn’t my New York Girl.
She was my game changer.”

➳Claire Contreras did a wonderful job with this story, and has made me obsess over how incredible Warren is and the idea of having second chances being possible!
